Family of Agencies appoints new Western Region Leader for Hillside
Children’s Center
Rochester, NY-January 5, 2009-
Hillside Family of Agencies has appointed Heather Wester to serve as the
Western Region services leader for its Hillside Children’s Center
affiliate.
In this
role, Wester, of Conesus, NY, will be responsible for the management and
administration of Hillside Children’s Center staff, services, and
facilities throughout the organization’s Western Region, which encompasses
Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Niagara,
Steuben, Orleans, and Wyoming counties.
Prior to
her appointment, Wester served as the associate services leader for
Hillside Children’s Center in the region. She has also worked as a program
manager and clinical mentor for Hillside’s Home and Community Based
Services-Waiver and the GLOW Family Support Program.
“My
goals are to structure the region for efficiency while maintaining a focus
on providing the very best care for our children and families. Equally
important to me is understanding the needs of our staff and creating a
culture of inclusion, mutual respect and quality of work life for our
teams,” says Wester.
In
addition to her work at Hillside, Wester also runs a private psychotherapy
practice in Geneseo, NY. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Sociology from the State University of New York College at Geneseo in
1983. She then went on to attain a Masters of Social Work degree with a
concentration in family mental health from Syracuse University in 1997.
